Ed Markovitz with Membership handed out the most recent draft of the Membership Renewal letter. Discussions were made to the final information on the letter and it was decided to have 350 printed and distributed by hand by Ed and his wife. Bob Redoutey volunteered to handle the printing of the fliers. Ed is handling membership and mentioned that we currently have 89 members. There was some discussion about verifying membership when asking for votes during the yearly January meeting. This will be reviewed before next years general membership meeting.

Debbie Purcell discussed roads in the subdivision after extensive travel along them the weeks prior to the board meeting. Most were is good shape. It was mentioned that there were a limited number of homes with “trashy” yards, but most areas were being kept up well. Debbie may look at discussing some of the questionable yards with the property owners to help improve areas of North Lake.

Kent discussed restrictions with the board. A couple of letters were received and a new home was being built. Kent would look into any issues with the new home. Discussions were made about the previous form that was used for dealing with restrictions. It was believed that Mike Morris still had the paperwork involved with restrictions from last year’s board. There were also discussions about commercial vs industrial zoning along Williams Dr. and the limits of commercial being limited to 200 feet from Williams Dr. toward the subdivision in the area west of 3405. It was felt that the official county maps were still in the possession of Russ Peterman, past NLLOA president.

Kent mentioned that for Security, Ed Pastor had been willing to take on the position provided we could change the meeting night to the 2nd Tuesday every month. Bob Redoutey would check with the church to make sure the room was available.

Kent led a short discussion about the article in the Williamson County Sun that dealt with the recent dog poisonings that have taken place in North Lake.

New Business was discussed including the possibility of paying the electric bill on a yearly basis instead of the current monthly payments. This would save the costs involved with writing too many checks and occurring a bank fee. A motion was made and passed to pay for the lighting bill yearly, if possible.

There was discussion about a “storage unit” located in a back yard, which has become an eyesore for a neighbor. It was felt that it might be a good idea for a board member to discuss the issue with the parties involved.

There were suggestions made for additions to the web site that included some history about North Lake. The was also the interest of putting a note about general interest subjects like Hiking and Bicycling on the web site to better organize a daily / weekly / monthly group of participants.

Questions were presented about the intersection of Ridgewood and Andice Rd (2338). It can be a dangerous intersection at times with poor visibility and limited use of the shoulder at times. Question was raised if there is a sign properly marking the intersection traveling from the west.

The meeting was adjourned at 8 pm.
